Using IP PBX with Your Business Phone System

As the Internet of things growing and more IP devices become available on the market, more devices at home and work can now collaborate with other devices on your network to create convenient yet unusual use cases.

There are many more SIP endpoints than your typical free IP PBX or VoIP software for your company phone system, for instance. For instance, you can set up IP intercoms to communicate with your phone system to place and receive calls.

It is helpful for the hectic, modern office. You may configure your workplace IP intercom to ring the entire office or particular groups of users when the "call" button is clicked by using the call routing features of a business phone system.

There is an additional option for those with a video IP intercom at their front door. When a visitor or delivery person rings the intercom, you may set it up to make a video call to your mobile phone so that you can speak with them immediately on both your personal and professional devices—finished with lost packages!

How to Use an IP PBX Intercom with Your Business Phone System?

Remember that the call route that a certain number is allocated to roads calls through the call flow you've configured. When a SIP user is added to the field in the first module's "send call to user/external/trunk" field, the call will be routed to that SIP user. By inputting the SIP credentials for any SIP user listed under that user in the "Users" area of the dashboard in the IP intercom's web interface, you can associate any SIP user with a physical device (accessed by connecting it to your local network and then entering its IP PBX system address into the address of the any browser).

Here's the method-

  • Connect a SIP user to your system.

  • Go to the IP intercom's web interface.

  • The user can register the device by entering the SIP information in the "SIP user details" section of your IP intercom's web interface.

  • Within the Yay dashboard, create a call route (call received—send to a user—external—trunk—end—repeat previous steps).

  • Give that call route a number.

  • Set the call button on your intercom's web interface to dial the number you designated for your call route whenever it is pressed.

Conclusion

You have more flexibility than you might imagine with cloud-based telephony and IP network devices. The use of IP PBX intercoms that support the SIP protocol in conjunction with your company's cloud phone system can easily be configured to eliminate the need for additional interior answering units, saving money and guaranteeing that customers are greeted quickly.
